As I see it, the blogsites are defeating privacy fences. We are becoming neighbors once again. Blogs allow our visits to be brief while our days remain free to get so much done. There is value in gaining connectedness in a world which seems so crowded, yet leaves some feeling so lonely. I am all for seeing that all feel absolutely connected to someone.
I'm not sure how often I can or will pay attention to this site. I am a very green novice. I know this....people are important. In future notes, I will join with many others to be another voice to cheer you on.

For those of us who do not get to hear Mike Cope, Wade Hodges, Tim Spivey, and so many others every Sunday the value of blogs is great because I can now read their thoughts almost everyday. Today I get to add you to this list. It will be great getting to read what you have to say.
The real question is this... why does someone like me do a blog? I guess I like to read my own thoughts, hahaha.

You're right about breaking down privacy barriers we've erected around ourselves. It was one of the hardest things I've ever done to surrender my private monologue for the world (and even harder, my friends) to see. But it does two things, it brings me closer to people who love me and it holds me accountable... even in thought.
I've struggled (and had internal arguments with myself) over 1 Corinthians 10:5 where Paul says, "...we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ." My thoughts are often anything but obedient, and here, in the blog world, is the only place people see that. And it's made me stronger to have the support of friends the fellowship of the saints. I see Christ in all of them and pray that Christ also shines through me.
Welcome, Terry, to the world of the blog. May you sow seeds where you never expected to walk and in the end see the results of the Son as He grows them.
Cool! Now instead of letting Kellen listen to your sermons to put him to sleep at night, I can read him your blog!

What an incredibly long way we have come from wondering if web pages and email had any kingdom value. I love it that so many are blogging now. Terry, I'm so glad to find that you have a blog, even if you don't write as often as you would like (at least that's what happens with me!)! I truly miss getting to be with you on Sundays and this will give me another way to feel connected to my "family" at Memorial. I think of you and Mary often!! Love you!
