YOUR WORD TO PREACHERS?

The Tulsa International Soul Winning Workshop begins tonight! WooHoo!

This will be my last blog for the week. Pray when you think of us!

One of the first things out of the Thursday shoot is a 6:30 a.m. meeting in my office with 12 to 15 preachers. They come from South Dakota and Michigan and Missouri.....you get the picture. I meet to give them individual attention; listen to their celebrations and concerns as well as share ideas which might encourage them to keep moving forward.

So many of our good men spiral into eventually giving up. They quit. I love to cheer them on hoping to divert such a destination.

If you could be in my chair, what would you say to these ambitious soldiers of Christ?

See you later.....after the workshop.

Your message is JESUS. Your strength is JESUS. Your joy is JESUS. Your goal is JESUS. Don’t ever take your eyes off JESUS. Don’t be discouraged when others can’t see the Savior for the system. The religious leaders of His day missed seeing Him too. It didn’t make Him any less JESUS! He was ignored, rebuked, criticized, and yes, even crucified BUT He rose from it all and lives again! You are not alone for HE lives within you! Thank you for having the heart to be HIS voice, hands, and feet. Let it always be about JESUS!

That many preachers in ONE place and ONE time ... I'm not sure I'd want to be in your chair. :)

Actually, Jeanne pretty much said it all.

I'm in this boat with you. The winds blow, the waves crash and the storm is larger than life, sometimes. Isn't it great! Knowing that God orchestrates all this to teach us and grow us just exactly as we need to be taught and grown! Hang in there.

I remember sitting in a crowd of 35,000+ preachers at the Promise Keeper's Clergy Conference in Atlanta years ago and thinking, "If God really wanted to start a revival, all he had to do was take out this crowd!" But on a serious note, I can't improve on what Jeanne wrote. I would like to be one of those preachers in your office ... not to be a speaker at Tulsa, just to be encouraged by you.

Thanks for the invitation, Terry. It was a blessing to be in the room with all those preachers. God bless all of you who were there. To quote the song Don't Grow Weary by Don Harris & Martin Nystrom,
"Don't grow weary in doing well,
Don't surrender in the fight,
Keep on storming the gates of hell,
Keep on doing what you know is right."

(What else would you expect from a music guy?)

Terry, I haven't had a chance to actually see and speak to you individually ... I know you're so busy ... your message yesterday afternoon was a home-run and so needed. Thanks.

I am 42 years old and have been going to the workshop all my life, currently I am praying and talking to others who have all but given up on getting past all the bewithcing stares when we want to be a mess. I have been going other places to get food and dreading going to my family to "worship". I know i should be able to worship in the most depressing places because of what is inside of me...but it is hard. Your lesson....the one God placed on your heart was by far the best i have ever heard in my life...I feel you should know that God spoke to me through you.
Thank you
