As listeners, we must also go in relaxed, seeking out GOD'S Word, and not so much the man's words. That takes a LOT of pressure off, all the way around. Hopefully this eases the burden off the man and his words, b/c the message we listeners need is from THE Word, and HIS message.<br /><br />Such an approach of heart prep as a listener has significantly improved the "quality" of the sermons I hear, regardless of the man and the words.
